A further thirty li north stands Mount Niúshǒu [牛首]. There is a plant called Guǐ Cǎo [鬼草], with mallow-like leaves, a red stem, and an ear like grain. Taking it dispels sorrow. The Láo [勞] River rises here and flows west into the Yù [潏]. In it are many Fēi Yú, resembling crucian carp; eating them cures haemorrhoids and diarrhoea. From the English edition of Mountains & Seas.
