A further 350 li west stands Mt. Yīng Dī [英鞮]. Above grow many lacquer trees, below lie plentiful metals and jade. All its birds and beasts are white. The Wò [涴] River rises here and flows north into Língyáng [陵羊] Marsh. In it are many Rǎn Yí Yú [冉遺], with fish bodies, snake heads, six legs, and eyes like horse ears. Eating them prevents nightmares and wards off misfortune. From the English edition of Mountains & Seas. Open the reader for the Chinese editions and translator’s notes.
