The first Kǔ [苦] range, from Mount Xiūyú [休輿] to Mount Dàguī [大騩], comprises nineteen mountains and extends 1,184 li. Sixteen of its gods have pig bodies and human faces. Their rites require a goat of unblemished colouring and a patterned jade hung as an offering and buried. Mounts Kǔ [苦], Shàoshì [少室], and Tàishì [太室] are all chief mountains; their rites require the full three-animal sacrifice and fine jade hung as an offering.
