A further 70 li west stands Mount Yúcì [羭次]. The Qī [漆] River rises here and flows north into the Wèi [渭] River. Above grow many Yù [棫] and Jiāng [橿] trees, below much arrow bamboo. The northern slope has much red Tóng, the southern slope much Yīngyuán [嬰垣] jade. There is a beast like a yù [禺], with long arms, skilled at throwing; its name is Xiāo [嚻]. There is a bird like an Xiāo, with a human face and one leg, called Tuó Féi [橐𩇯]. It appears in winter and lies dormant in summer.
